Kronba & Dahab



This is Kronba and Dahab. Kronba was found in a trash bin...can you believe that? Someone consciously decided to throw away a kitten in a trash can!! Dahab was abandoned by her mother and brought in by a young village girl.

SPARE continues to rescue kittens from unspeakable horrors, and they continue to come into the shelter in droves. We cannot refuse any animal that has suffered.

Kronba and Dahab are currently being fostered in Amina's home. She says that Kronba cannot believe her eyes when she is bottle fed or cared for. Dahab on the other hand, just loves to be cuddled all the time!

Roquett



Hi I'm Roquett. I'm the resident tabby here at SPARE. I'm just so cute, Ramadan the cat keeper can't keep his hands off of me!!! I'm super playful and have tonnes and tonnes of love to give.

Rolla



Well hello there! I'm Rolla and I'm the cutest little thing you will ever meet :) I'm full of life and spunk...just look at me in the arms of Amina. She's the wonderful woman who saves all us kitties from the street. Now don't tell anyone I told you this, but I've overheard her saying once that I was one of her favourites!!! shhhhhh or the other cats will get jealous!
Anyways, I'm hoping to find a loving home to snuggle in. I will give you all the love in my heart!

Nooman



Hello there, I'm Nooman. I had quite a traumatizing accident at the subway and lost my right arm. I'm trying to forget what happened because of the excruciating pain I endured...it all just happened so fast.
Luckily a couple rescued me and took me to the SPARE shelter. I'm feeling much better now and I'm focusing on adjusting to my new situation. But what I would love the most is to be adopted by a loving home that will protect me from all the frightful things that happen out on the street. Will you take me in?

Dinar


I am Dinar, I am a girl and have a story to tell you.
I fell from a five story building had 2 hind legs fractured, my limbs broken and ribs fractured...I know, crazy huh?
Two of the best vets in Cairo wanted to put me to sleep and decided give up on me so easily, but SPARE's vets Dr Sameh, Dr John and Dr Ahmed refused vehemently and kept trying to rescusicite me and bring me back to this world. And I did! Thanks to their miracle work!
I am now all healed up; I can run and play and I think humans are absolutely spot on when they say cats have 9 lives!

Sandra


Hi there, I'm Sandra. I'm sorry guys, I'm just not feeling so great right now. I used to have a family one day when they decided to go on vacation and board me at the SPARE shelter. Only, they never came back to get me.
What did I do to deserve this? Would you take your child to school and just forget about them? So as you can see, I'm kind of down in the dumps right now.
I'm living at the SPARE shelter and the people are so nice. I get to play with all the other cats and I've made a lot of friends. Although I would much rather be living in a cozy home with a new family.
I'm microchipped and neutered and ready for a new life, will you be the one to make that change?

Amar



Hey guys, I'm Amar. I'm 2 years old and I just looove to be cuddled!
I was found in Shabramant area with some horrible and terribly painful wounds on my back. This was a result of a dog bite...I really don't like remembering that time of my life because I was in so much pain until I was taken care of by the wonderful SPARE peeps. Now I'm one happy litte guy!

I'm neutered and vaccinated and ready for adoption. I'm so affectionate and super cute...just look at my pic :) I love being around other cats, playing with toys and food! One thing i do hate is taking medicine..ugh..it tastes to horrible, but i know that it's good for me so I must take it.

Kia

Hi there! I'm Kia and I'm 14 months old. I was found on the day the SPARE people were picking up a donated van from KIA motors..hence the name!
I was pretty terrified in those days, I was pretty young, cold and very very hungry when they found me. I kind of gave them the run around because I was so scared. But I got to hand it to them, they did not give up on me after 4 hours chasing me!! I was just used to being treated so badly by humans, I didn't know their intentions were good.
Anyways, I'm all cleaned up and I've had all my shots and I'm neutered and microchipped! All you have to do is adopt me and take me home. I promise you I will be very well behaved, and I will give you so much love you won't even believe it!

Cinderella

Hi, I'm Cinderella. I guess I was named cinderella because I'm so pretty and I look like a princess. Well let me tell you, I certainly didn't feel like a princess before I came to SPARE.
In my previous life on the streets, my family and I was threatened to be poisoned by some very very cruel people. They thought they would feel powerful by killing us innocent cats. We really mean no harm; we're just trying to survive on the mean streets of Cairo.
Anyways, I don't have to think about that, now I've been saved by these lovely people at the SPARE shelter. I'm just hoping for someone to adopt me as their buddy for life. I'm really sweet and all I ask for is love and affection. Oh and I'm microchipped, I've had all my shots and I'm neutered too!

Nabil


Hello there, I'm Nabil and I was born on June 6th, 2006 so you will never forget my birthday:) I was brought into the SPARE shelter when these cruel and heartless neighbours were planning on poisoing my brothers, sisters and I just because they didn't like the sight of us!
Luckily we were saved in the nick of time and brought into the shelter. Now that I've received all the nutrition, vaccines and medical care I'm ready for adoption. I'm also neutered and microchipped! I'm hoping to find some loving, caring parents and a nice quiet home. I will be the best most behaved cat ever, if you just take me in and give me a chance!
I wouldn't mind having another playmate, preferably not dogs because they frighten me a little.

Clearance


Hi, I'm Clearance! I am quite the charmer around the SPARE shelter because everyone just adores me! I was found in a building and was in excurciating pain because of a horrible irritation in my eyes. Those were some bad times, as the vet had to remove one eye and I could no longer see in my other eye. But hey, don't you feel sorry for me because I'm full of life and my handicap ain't stopping me!
I'm 7 months old, and I looove treats, especially those imported ones! All I ask for is a loving home and some patience because of my inability to see...but once I'm used to your home I will find my way real easy, so don't you worry!

Blacky The Cat


Hi I'm Blacky the Cat and I'm a year old! I came to SPARE as a boarding cat but my owners never came back to take me back home. I don't know what I did for them to not care for me anymore, but I'm really hoping to find a new loving home. I lost an eye during a fight with another cat but that is certainly not holding me back! I have a spunky personality and I'm super sociable and friendly. I'm a bit of a ladies man, guys for some reason scare me! I can't explain it!

I'm staying at a foster home at the moment, and I am about to be microchipped and ready for adoption. Please take me in!
