How you can help

As a charitable organization, we depend entirely on your donations and support. There are many ways that you can support SPARE.For monetary donations:

  • If you reside in Egypt:

    Please visit the shelter so you can see exactly how your money will be put to work. You may make a cash donation. If you cannot visit the Shelter, please just contact Amina Abaza, amina@sparealife.org, to arrange for your donation to be picked up from you.

  • If you reside in Germany:

    Tierschutzverein Katzenhilfe e.V. Düsseldorf-Neuss (a fellow animal rights organisation in Germany and friends of SPARE) collect donations for us from German residents only.
    Please make sure you state the following on the money transfer form in order to receive a receipt for your tax purposes:
    - Name and Address
    - Include under *Purpose of Payment*: Donation for SPARE/Cairo

    and would like to donate through a tax-exempt organization in order to receive the tax advantages, you may donate through the American charity Animal People by sending a check to:

    and write “donation for SPARE” on the memo line or donate to Animal People online, www.animalpeoplenews.org, by clicking on the “Make a Donation” button and note that the donation is for SPARE. You will receive a receipt from Animal People for your tax purposes.
